About Us

A Biblical ministry of Excellence.

Church Mission

Motivated by the love of God.

Revival Center seeks to be a Biblical ministry of Excellence. Our ministry is designed to Encourage life transformation through our threefold purpose: to Evangelize, Edify, and Equip the whole person to serve the community, and to reach the world for Jesus Christ.

We strive to be compassionate in our love, excellent in our service, holy in our living, passionate, and reverent in our worship. We are motivated by the love of God and will spread the gospel of Jesus Christ through preaching, singing, testifying, and meeting the needs of God’s people.

Vision Statement

Our vision for Revival Center is simple. We exist to Love God and Love His People.

Affirmation of Faith

What we believe.

As a congregation of the Church of God in Christ, our faith is founded upon the doctrine of the Apostles as received on the day of Pentecost.

The Bible

We believe the Bible to be the inspired and only infallible written Word of God.

God

We believe that there is only One God, eternally existent in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

The Church

We believe in the blessed Hope, which is the rapture of the Church of God, which is in Christ, at His return.

Sin

We believe that the only means of being cleansed from sin is through repentance and faith in the precious Blood of Jesus Christ.

Salvation

We believe that regeneration by the Holy Ghost is absolutely essential for personal salvation.

Christ

We believe that the redemptive work of Christ on the Cross provides healing for the human body in answer to believing prayer.

The Holy Ghost

We believe that the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, according to Acts 2:4, is given to believers who ask for Him.

Sanctification

We believe in the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a holy and separated life in the present world.

Meet the First Lady

Evangelist Ushell Parker

First Lady, Revival Center COGIC

Evangelist Ushell Parker is a native of the Tidewater, VA area. She has been married to the love of her life, Pastor Derek Parker, for over 30 years. She received the Lord Jesus Christ as her personal savior at an exceedingly early age. As a young child, she knew God required more of her. Acknowledging the call that was upon her life led her to ministry in July 2000.

Evangelist Parker’s life assignment is to advance God’s kingdom and empower His people to take the next faithful step. She realizes that obedience to His will is better, and that her life is a model to guide others to Him.

She believes that “The Master Touch” is on each of us.

Her aim is to please God as she serves Him through sowing the seed of God’s word in the hearts of all people, bestowing love and guidance to all that encounter her. She faithfully renders her gifts for service unto Jesus Christ and His church, accepting the responsibility of First Lady and all its challenges, simply believing God never demands what He will not supply.

She has been invited to minister in a wide array of settings, including women’s conferences, workshops, and prayer breakfasts. She has served as armourbearer, Married Couples Ministry (MCM) Coordinator, and YWCC President. Her favorite motto is to “Love God and Love His People.” God has worked miraculously in her life, and to Him she gives all honor, praise, and glory.
