New Members
Welcome to the Revival Center family.
Grace, mercy, and peace be unto you. We are delighted that you have connected with us as we enlarge the Kingdom of God together.

A Letter from the Pastor
Let us grow together in the grace of God.
It is with Jesus joy that we welcome you to the Revival Center family as well as the New Members Training. Acts 5:14 says, “And more than ever believers were added to the Lord, multitudes of both men and women.” So today we are delighted that you have connected with us, as we enlarge the Kingdom of God.
This training has been designed “to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ” (Ephesians 4:12–13). It will also give you a deeper understanding of the spiritual community you are now affiliated with, and a better revelation of your place in this ministry.
“And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.”Philippians 1:6

The New Members Team
We will walk with you.
The New Members Team consists of women and men who are here to guide you in the early process of officially becoming a member of this body of Christ. However you joined, at the altar, with a hospitality card, through the RC app, or on our website, we are delighted you are with us.
In your first week, you should receive a letter from our pastor welcoming you to Revival Center. The New Members Team will then introduce you to the New Members Training and will continue reaching out to you for the first 60–90 days, making sure you are comfortable with your new family.
It is our concern that you do not get lost in the process, but that you graduate to greatness and join one of the auxiliaries we offer through the ministry. If you have any problems, reach out and we will help you get to the right person.

What the training covers

Our Heritage
The Church of God in Christ.
The Church of God in Christ was founded by Bishop Charles Harrison Mason in 1905 and has grown into a church of enormous size and influence, with approximately 6.5 million members and teachings that reach around the world. Bishop Mason was led by the Holy Spirit to call the Christian world to a way of “Sanctification.”
Our faith is founded upon the doctrine of the Apostles as received on the day of Pentecost. God revealed the name of the church to Bishop Mason through 1 Thessalonians 2:4 and 9. Today the church is led by Presiding Bishop J. Drew Sheard.

Water Baptism
An outward sign of an inward change.
We believe that Water Baptism is necessary as instructed by Christ in St. John 3:5: “Unless man is born again of water and of the Spirit.” Water baptism alone is not a means of salvation; it is an outward demonstration that one has already had a conversion experience and has accepted Christ as personal Savior.
As Pentecostals, we practice immersion, because it corresponds more closely to the death, burial, and resurrection of our Lord (Colossians 2:12). We baptize “in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost” (Matthew 28:19).
We also believe the Baptism of the Holy Ghost is an experience subsequent to conversion and sanctification, and that to be filled with the Spirit means to be Spirit-controlled (Ephesians 5:18–19).

Kingdom Expectations
What it means to be a member.
Members
- After being saved, sanctified, and filled with the Holy Ghost, members are subject to the discipline and doctrine of the church.
- Be faithful to the church by attending services.
- Be committed and dedicated to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
- Give tithes and offerings.
- Live a holy and separated life.
- Become active in auxiliaries in the church.
- Support the Pastor’s vision and purpose for the church.
Leaders
Disciples are produced one by one, because someone has taken the time to instruct, discipline, nurture, and enlighten one that is spiritually younger. As we mature into leadership, leaders:
- Obey God and lead by example
- Give tithes and offerings
- Are faithful to church services
- Foster the Pastor’s vision and purpose
- Are prayerful, understanding, and fair in all dealings
- Show love, are impartial, and demonstrate the lifestyle of Christ
- Are saved, sanctified, filled with the Holy Ghost, and totally committed to Jesus Christ
Kingdom Stewardship
Tithing and giving.
The Bible contains more than 2,000 verses on the subject of money, and time and again it associates our money with our commitment and relationship to the Lord. The tithe is ten percent of our income, given alongside offerings for the work of the ministry.
Giving is an act of worship, a spiritual sacrifice and an expression of love and gratitude, because everything we have comes from the Lord (1 Chronicles 29:14). It is also a test of our faithfulness: “For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also” (Matthew 6:21). We give to express our love to God, to please Him, to lay up treasures in Heaven, and to help reach the world for Jesus Christ.
“Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse… and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.”Malachi 3:10
